Megan Greener

ABOUT MEGAN

Megan is a New York-based actor, originally from Northern New Jersey. She attended Montclair State University, where she received her B.A. in Theatre Studies. Before graduating, she was a national competitor for the Irene Ryan Acting Partner Award at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in Washington D.C.  She then attended the 2-year Meisner professional training program at the Maggie Flanigan Studio in Chelsea, New York, where she studied under Maggie Flanigan, herself.

Megan has been working consistently in theatre, film, and web media in both the New York and New Jersey area. She is currently a member of the resident acting company of Hamlet Isn't Dead, a New York-based Shakespeare group whose mission is to produce all of the Bard's works in chronological order. She is also a frequent collaborator of several other collective artists and theatrical groups, such as director/LAByrinth member Jill DeArmon, Anna Loyd Bradshaw & Scott Brieden, Anthony Gusevich, members of the 2014 LAByrinth Intensive Ensemble, Brandon Monokian & Love Drunk Life, and StrangeDog Theatre CompanyFavorite credits include: Happy Yummy Chicken (a mockumentary featuring Suzzanne Dougals and Orange is the New Black's Taryn Manning, Emma Myles, and Diane Guerrero), Henry VTitus Andronicus, Love's Labour's Lost, The Shape of Things, Our Lady of 121st Street, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Basic Help, SubUrbia, Kitty, Kitty, Kitty, and more.

When not working as an actor, Megan is a teaching artist and program director for Developing Artists, a non-profit youth arts organization in New York, whose mission is "to help students find their place and their connection to their community through participation in the arts".
